Apple is reportedly planning to introduce an ultra-low-power Bluetooth speaker on the next-generation MacBook Pro, and that means you won’t have to buy a new one.
Apple’s first-generation AirPort Extreme and AirPort Next are already on the market, and Apple says its next-gen AirPort Express and AirPlay products will be available in 2019.
Apple said it is also planning a Bluetooth speaker called the QFX, which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and can connect to Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy devices.
Apple is expected to announce the Qfx-S1, QFX Plus, Qfx Plus Plus and QFX Pro models in September 2019.
Apple’s new QFX speakers will be powered by the same Snapdragon 820 as the AirPort Air speakers, and both are expected to be announced in early 2020.
Apple is also working on a new wireless earbuds for the AirPlay 4K video-on-demand services.
Apple has also revealed a new Apple TV remote for the 2017 MacBook Pro that’s designed to work with Apple TV and Apple TV apps.
The 2017 MacBook Air’s wireless speakers and remote will be included with the new MacBook Pro.
Apple plans to release a wireless adapter for the wireless Apple TV in 2019, and it plans to add the Apple TV app to the new 2017 MacBook.
Apple also announced a new USB-C port for the next MacBook Pro model.
