New York Times reporter Matt Taibbi is one of the latest to try to answer this question.
On Monday, he said that Apple and Google have been “very successful at building the best of both worlds” with their podcasting offerings.
He said that he prefers the iPhone 7 Plus because of its smaller size and its ability to listen to podcasts through the speakers in his car.
He noted that he had to adjust his audio settings on the phone when he was on the road for work, as well as for his podcasting sessions.
“It’s pretty hard to tell where the difference ends and the difference begins, and I have to adjust them,” he said.
“I would rather listen to my podcasts on my iPhone 7 than my iPhone 6S or iPhone 6.”
While it might not be as easy as switching on the volume, Taibberg said that it’s a different experience.
“The iPhone 7 doesn’t make a huge difference,” he added.
“It’s a much smaller phone than the 6S.
I don’t even know if the 6s could fit inside the 7, I just know that it fits in the car.”
Taibberg has been following the news surrounding Apple’s podcasting efforts and the iPhone’s headphone jack for months, as he has done on a regular basis since he joined the Times in 2017.
He’s been writing about Apple’s efforts since at least September, and has been quoted by other outlets on how the iPhone has changed the way we listen to music.
Taibbings recent article in The New York Post was largely negative and criticized Apple for not following through on its promise to provide “the best speaker” for podcasting, and he also wrote that Apple’s new EarPods could not deliver the same sound quality as its competitors.
“The Apple EarPod is a speaker with a very loud and very clear speaker, but a smaller and thinner speaker,” Taibbins article stated.
“So I don, honestly, have a problem with it.
It’s a really great speaker.”
Tauby has been vocal about the Apple’s failure to deliver a good speaker, and said that the company has been “a great partner” to the podcasting industry.
He has also said that a smaller device with less speakers would have been better for podcast companies.
However, Apple has been known to make tweaks to its product line for various product launches, including the introduction of the Apple Watch Series 3 and the new Apple TV 4K.
This could be why the company is not releasing any new speaker designs for the iPhone or iPad, despite being one of their top selling products.
While the latest Apple announcements may be a step in the right direction, it is likely that the new iPhone will be more expensive than the iPhone 6s, as Taibbeins piece points out.
Apple recently announced a $1,000 discount on the iPhone SE, which has been one of its biggest selling models, and it will continue to offer this deal for the remainder of 2018.
